January 2021 NewsletterThis week the Ontario Chamber of Commerce released the 2021 Economic Outlook report. It was no surprise to read that small businesses are the least confident in the province’s economy.

Businesses across all sectors and sizes have had to deal with a variety of challenges this year. I think it’s fair to say that small businesses have been hit the hardest, especially the tourism industry.

Our connection to the Ontario and Canadian Chambers provides you with opportunities to share your feedback and add your voice to conversations at the provincial and federal levels of government. This past summer we joined the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario. Their focus on advocating for the tourism industry.

Completing a survey is probably not at the top of your ‘To Do’ list. But the information you provide is so valuable for organizations like the Chambers and TIAO to learn how we can best support you, and speak up on your behalf to make changes. In the next couple of weeks the Chamber Government Relations Committee will be conducting a survey to determine how we can best help you during the economic recovery of the pandemic. It will not be lengthy, responses can be as short or long as you like.

Thank you to the many of you that have already renewed your 2021 membership. We appreciate and value each of our members and are constantly inspired by your efforts and the role you play in the business community of Trent Hills.
