Trent Hills Chamber of Commerce 

The Trent Hills Chamber of Commerce is seeking two enthusiastic and community-minded students to join our team as Tourism Information Officers for the 2026 summer season. These roles support visitor services, tourism promotion, and waterfront operations in beautiful Trent Hills. 

This is an excellent opportunity for high school or post-secondary students interested in tourism, customer service, community development, or event support. 

Position Overview 

Tourism Information Officers provide front-line service at the Trent Hills Visitor Centre, assisting visitors and residents by sharing information about local attractions, events, accommodations, and dining. 

Additional responsibilities include: 

  • Supporting marina services, including overnight boating registrations and kayak rentals using an online system 
  • Maintaining cleanliness of public washrooms and boater shower facilities 
  • Updating tourism and business databases 
  • Restocking visitor guides and promotional materials 
  • Assisting with tourism marketing and outreach initiatives 

Positions may be tailored to support individual learning goals and career interests. Experience with water safety or paddling is considered an asset.

  • Position 1: June 22, 2026 
  • Position 2: June 30, 2026 
  • Duration: 8 weeks 
  • Hours: 35 hours per week (includes weekends) 
  • Wage: $18.00 per hour 
  • Location:  51 Grand Road, Campbellford 

Qualifications 

  • Familiarity with Trent Hills and surrounding area 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office 
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment 

Eligibility (Canada Summer Jobs Program) 

This position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs program. Applicants must: 

  • Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment 
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person granted refugee status in Canada 
  • Be legally entitled to work in Canada
