The Trent Hills Chamber of Commerce is seeking a student to assist with a variety of special projects related to the tourism industry.
This position includes gaining skills in the areas of: technology and digital marketing, front line customer service, data collection and analysis, and interpersonal communication skills. The successful applicant must be energetic, polite and courteous, able to work independently and in a team environment. The primary role of this position are special projects the Chamber is working on including enhancing the digital presence of the Chamber and businesses, collecting and analyzing tourism data, and destination development. This position also includes working in the Visitor Information Centre greeting visitors and responding to inquiries, registering overnight boating visitors and light maintenance. A valid drivers license is required, as well as a flexible schedule as there may be occasional weekend and evening shifts. This position is funded in part by the Provincial Summer Experience Program, and the following conditions must be met: Enrolled in a secondary, or post-secondary institution or within six months of graduation and have reached the age of 15 and not yet reached the age of 25 upon commencement of employment or up to 29 years for persons with a disability.
