What a fabulous evening of Celebrating Business Excellence in Trent Hills! We were honoured to recognize the businesses, not for profits and individuals that help to make this such a great community. We couldn’t have done it without the many sponsors, donors and contributors that stepped forward to help make the event such a huge success, we truly appreciate their support. Congratulations to all of the nominees and the award recipients for the success you have achieved!
One of the themes that emerged from the nominee profiles, was the value of customer feedback. Do you gather feedback from your clients or customers? What do you do with that feedback? Does it help build that all important customer relationship that translates to customer loyalty? In today’s online world there are many opportunities for your customers to share their feedback with you. This is a great opportunity for you to build that customer relationship by interacting with their feedback. Or, it could be a chance to improve or enhance the customer service you deliver. It may also reinforce your customer service tactics.
Of course, online feedback is not your only resource to learn from your customers or clients. We have been conducting in-person interviews with our members, and while an online survey provides us with valuable information, it doesn’t give us the opportunity to follow a conversation down a path that may arrive at a different conclusion or share information about something that we hadn’t thought about. It’s those conversations with clients and customers, and in our case members, that often lead to a strategy or direction that could have a lasting impact on an organization.
These member interviews are also giving us a ‘health check’ of the business climate in Trent Hills. This is important for our role as the Voice of Business in Trent Hills and could have an impact on our efforts to advocate on behalf of business. If you have 30 minutes to spare and would like to join the conversation, contact the Chamber office to schedule an interview. – Lori Schuett, Chair
