Connecting with the membership is a priority for the Chamber. Your feedback on matters relating to government, and the benefits and services we provide is important, whether it is through a survey, email, by phone, in person or even a Facebook message. Over the next few weeks we will be reaching out to hear from you on a variety of topics. Please take a few minutes to share your thoughts and ideas so we can learn how to better serve you, the member.

This month we are applying to continue our status as an Accredited Chamber. Accreditation is a formal acknowledgement that we have been successfully evaluated against rigorous national standards of policy, service and performance. What does this mean for our members? Our strategic focus is on core chamber activities. We have adopted policies and practices that support the organization long-term. We are an organization that is sustainable from both a financial and governance perspective. We have a stronger voice of business in the community, and increased our capacity for advocating on behalf of members.

We recognize the tremendous amount of effort it takes to run a business. It is a privilege to work with the business community and we appreciate your role as a member in the Chamber of Commerce. – Lori Schuett, Chair
