The Trent Hills Chamber of Commerce is seeking additional staff to join the Chamber team for the summer season. Positions will require a variety of hours, which will include early evenings and weekends. The successful candidates will have strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, knowledge about the Trent Hills area, the ability to adhere to health and safety protocols, and work in both a team environment and independently.

TOURISM INFORMATION OFFICER: The role of this position is to provide information for visitors to the Trent Hills Visitor Centre, which includes responding to inquiries about things to do, places to stay and where to eat in Trent Hills. These inquiries will be in-person, by telephone or email. This position will also register boats that stay overnight using an online store and reservation system. Additional responsibilities include cleaning public washrooms and boater showers, updating database, and stocking brochures. The ideal candidate will be familiar with Microsoft Office programs and have good organizational and general office skills to meet deadlines and complete tasks. Position will be 8 weeks at 35 hours per week. Rate of pay is $16.25/hour. This position is funded in part by the Canada Summer Jobs program, SEE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS BELOW.
BOAT RENTAL ATTENDANT: The primary role of this position will be assisting with the Kayak Rentals and Old Mill Park Docking registrations. Requires the ability to lift up to 52 lbs. Duties include ensuring safety protocols are being met, transferring kayaks from the storage unit to dock, greeting customers, processing online registrations and payments, monitoring kayak safety, and providing support for Visitor Information Services. Position will be 8 weeks at 35 hours per week. Rate of pay is $16.25/hour. This position is funded in part by the Canada Summer Jobs program, SEE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS BELOW
