Check out December’s virtual volunteer fair. There are great ways to volunteer and support your community in Trent Hills this month!

Members of the Trent Hills Online Community Directory are invited to submit their volunteer needs by completing a short survey before the 15th of each month. For survey link or information about how to join the directory, email us at admin@trenthillschamber.ca.

Special Events and Projects

O.P.P. Stockings for Seniors 

Drop off locations include Northumberland OPP detachment located at 20 Industrial Dr and Stedman’s V&S located at 16 Front St. N. during regular hours of operation. Due date is December 5.

 

 Warkworth Fair Adopt a Grandparent Program 

Spread holiday cheer to local seniors with  Warkworth Fair. Call 1-866-514-5774 or email wellness@commcare.ca . Gifts should be dropped off by December 5.

 

Warkworth Fair Food Drive

Bring a non-perishable food donation to the Warkworth Festival of Trees from December 5 to 7 at the Warkworth Fairgrounds in the Red Barn. An annual fundraiser for the Warkworth Fair.

 

Campbellford Legion Branch 103– Toy and Food Drive

The Legion is hosting a Rockin’ Christmas Fundraiser for the Hospice, Toy Drive and Food Bank on Saturday, December 6 from 8 PM to midnight. Tickets are $20 or $15 with a donation.

 

The Captain’s Table Angel Tree – Hastings Toy Drive 

Pick a tag from the Angel Tree, buy a gift for that child, and drop it off unwrapped with the tag attached by December 12. The restaurant is located at 8 Front St. E. in Hastings.

 

Allaire Althouse Real Estate team and Sylvia Poissant-Mortgage Alliance, Community Christmas Gathering

An Afternoon of joy, music, raffle, a plinko game, prizes, and a children’s colouring contest. All proceeds are going towards the Campbellford Food Bank. At the Vimy Room, Campbellford Legion 34, Bridge St. W. It’ll take place on Saturday, December 13th from 11:30 AM to 3:30.

 

Trent Hills Fire Department & Inclusion Northumberland Stuff the Truck and Cram the Cruiser

Stuff the Truck & Cram the Cruiser TODAY, Nov 15 | 10 AM – 2 PM at Canadian Tire & Giant Tiger. Can’t make it? Drop off donations of unwrapped new toys weekdays until Dec 12 at Trent Hills Emergency Services Base, 50 Doxsee Ave S, Campbellford

Visit 65 Bridge Street East, Campbellford, to choose a tag from the Giving Tree and make the holidays a little brighter for someone in our community! Return all gifts with the tag attached by Tuesday, December 16.

Help fill the truck in the Drummond Motors showroom with donations for Campbellford Fare Share Food Bank. Drop off at 501 Grand Road by Thursday, December 18. You’ll be entered in a draw to win a detailing package for your vehicle!

Aron Theatre Co-operative

The Aron Theatre Co-operative offers a range of volunteer opportunities that support its mission to serve as a vibrant cultural hub. Volunteers assist in organizing and facilitating events such as movie screenings, live performances, and community discussions. They also contribute to special programs like the Aron Indigenous Circle, which presents monthly programming focused on Indigenous culture and reconciliation, and Aron Talks, a series of community science and cultural talks. Volunteers play a crucial role in helping to shape and support these initiatives, fostering a sense of community and cultural engagement. Those interested in volunteering can apply by completing an online application form or downloading and submitting a PDF version via email.

CKOL 93.7 FM Radio

CKOL is a community radio station that has been on-air since 1992. CKOL is volunteer-based and always looking for more volunteers. New radio hosts and behind-the-scenes volunteers are needed!

Campbellford Seymour Heritage Society

We’re looking for volunteers to help open the Heritage Centre at 113 Front Street North in Campbellford on Wednesdays. Volunteers respond to phone calls and email inquiries, and occasionally meet with visitors by appointment. If you enjoy local history and connecting with the community, we’d love to have you join our team!
Volunteers Needs:  The Heritage Centre is open Wednesdays from 10 am to 4 pm

Campbellford Memorial Hospital Foundation (CMHF)

Join the Catch the Ace Raffle Volunteer Team! Campbellford Memorial Hospital Foundation is looking for 3 to 5 passionate, enthusiastic volunteers to help make the Catch the Ace Raffle a huge success! Shifts can be as little as 1-2 hours or more if wanted. CMHF is flexible and happy to accept what works with people’s schedules. They have the opportunity to sell tickets 7 days a week so they can accommodate your schedule.
Volunteer Needs: Sell tickets at various community pop-up locations (including Sharpe’s Food Market and Giant Tiger); Drop off and pick up tickets from our retail partners; Bring energy and excitement to the raffle while helping us support the amazing work of Campbellford Memorial Hospital!

Community Care Northumberland

Meals on Wheel Delivery driver – 4 volunteers needed – deliver meals to clients at least twice a month

Friendly Visitor Volunteers – 3 volunteers needed – visit with clients for about an hour a week

Volunteer Drivers – 3 volunteers needed – out of town drivers

Community Hospice Volunteers – 3 volunteers needed – spend time in client home with the client 2-4 hours once a week or bi-weekly

Community Hospice Vigil supports – 2 volunteers needed – Visit LTC homes when family is not able to be present
