St. Paul’s United Church, Warkworth

Project: Flooring Renovations
Date and Time: July 8 to 17, various shifts
Volunteer Needs:  Looking for help removing carpeting and replacing with vinyl flooring. Volunteer for a few hours or a few days! Any help is welcome.

IncrEdible Trent Hills

Event: Incredible Edible Festival
Date and Time: Saturday, July 13, various shifts
Volunteer Needs:

  • Volunteer individually or with your friends and family – the more, the merrier! Students in grade 8 and up can earn up to 15 volunteer hours. From the beer tent to the main stage, greeting guests, children’s area, and more, there’s a role for everyone!  


Campbellford Seymour Agricultural Society

Event: Campbellford Fair
Date and Time: August 9 to 11, various shifts
Volunteer Needs:

  • Set up and clean up
  • Beer gardens
  • Food booth
  • Student opportunities

Campbellford Farmers’ Market

Event: Summer Harvest Day
Date and Time: Saturday, August 10, 8:30 am to 1:30 pm
Volunteer Needs: Three volunteers needed to assist with market setup/takedown (no heavy lifting required), set up and running of Tasting Station and Kids Crafting Table, help with sales of Market Tote Bags and Market Maple Syrup, greeting of clients and informing them of the event details.

Event: Porchella Music Festival
Date and Time: Saturday, September 14, 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Volunteer Needs: Five to ten volunteers needed to help distribute flyers, sell t-shirts, provide information to attendees, and attend the information tent in Town Square

Promised Land Animal Sanctuary

Event: Tats and Hearts Fundraiser
Date and Time: Saturday, September 21
Volunteer Needs: Annual festival fundraiser, with vendors, food and entertainment. Need 2 – 10 volunteers to cook and serve veggie burgers, ticket sales and grounds. Roles include Setup, Cleanup, Registration, and Floaters and shifts are 3 to 5 hours in length.

Ongoing Needs

Community Care Northumberland

Meals on Wheel Delivery driver – 4 volunteers needed – deliver meals to clients at least twice a month

Friendly Visitor Volunteers – 3 volunteers needed – visit with clients for about an hour a week

Volunteer Drivers – 3 volunteers needed – out of town drivers

Community Hospice Volunteers – 3 volunteers needed – spend time in client home with the client 2-4 hours once a week or bi-weekly

Community Hospice Vigil supports – 2 volunteers needed – Visit LTC homes when family is not able to be present
