Warkworth Community Service Club
Event: Donnybrook Auction
Date and Time: Saturday, June 15 at 5:30 pm
Volunteer Needs: Work with the auctioneers to identify what is “on the block,” collect money and hand items to the buyers.

- Volunteer individually or with your friends and family – the more, the merrier! Students in grade 8 and up can earn up to 15 volunteer hours. From the beer tent to the main stage, greeting guests, children’s area, and more, there’s a role for everyone!

Event: Hearts + Hooves Fundraiser

Volunteer Needs: Annual festival fundraiser, with vendors, food and entertainment. Need volunteers to cook and serve veggie burgers, ticket sales and grounds.

Ongoing Needs
Community Care Northumberland
- Volunteer Drivers provide transportation for clients who are unable to drive for themselves. A reimbursement of $0.50/kilometre for drivers’ out of pocket expenses such as fuel, insurance and vehicle maintenance is paid by the client or the client’s coverage directly to the volunteer.
- Shopping Helpers take seniors to grocery stores, banks, etc. and “volunteers” are paid $20 per hour or $10 per half hour.
- Meals on Wheels Volunteers assist with picking up hot meals from Sharpe’s and delivering them to clients. Route takes approximately 1 hour and 15 mins. Mileage reimbursement is available.
- Telephone Reassurance Phone Calls – volunteer from the comfort of your own home. Two hours per week commitment.
- Home Maintenance Brokered Workers assist with outdoor and odd jobs such as snow shovelling, home clean up, etc… They receive a fee that is negotiable and agreed upon by the worker and client.
