Rotary Club of Campbellford Creekside Clean Up

Join the Rotary Club of Campbellford at the Simpson St. Community Garden for their Spring Creek Side Clean-Up initiative. Show Trout Creek some love while creating a beautiful community green space in support of the Campbellford Community Gardens.
Location:
Saturday April 12th from 9:00am – 12:30pm, Simpson St S + Balaclava St., Campbellford
Volunteer needs:
  • Bring shovels, rakes, gloves, wheelbarrows, cutters, etc… if you have some available

Campbellford Memorial Hospital Foundation (CMHF)

Join the Catch the Ace Raffle Volunteer Team! Campbellford Memorial Hospital Foundation is looking for 3 to 5 passionate, enthusiastic volunteers to help make the Catch the Ace Raffle a huge success! Shifts can be as little as 1-2 hours or more if wanted. CMHF is flexible and happy to accept what works with people’s schedules. They have the opportunity to sell tickets 7 days a week so they can accommodate your schedule.
Volunteers Needs: Sell tickets at various community pop-up locations (including Sharpe’s Food Market and Giant Tiger); Drop off and pick up tickets from our retail partners; Bring energy and excitement to the raffle while helping us support the amazing work of Campbellford Memorial Hospital!

Warkworth Lilac Festival – May 24 and 25

24 volunteers are needed to support the annual Warkworth Lilac Festival, held along the Millennium Trail in Warkworth.

Volunteer roles (for a 2-hour shift):

  • Parking attendants
  • Greeters
  • Various roles during the weekend to help showcase unique varieties of lilacs, lilac sales, music, food, and horticultural vendors

Ongoing Needs

Trent Hills Public Library

The Campbellford and Hastings library branches are looking for volunteers for “Conversation Circle” programs to support new Canadians who are learning to speak English.
Volunteers Needs: two hours per week (dates to be determined)

Bike Action Trent Hills

Bicycles are key to a happier, healthier, and more sustainable Trent Hills. Group rides and community events bring people together, while bikes offer an affordable, efficient mode of transport. Bike Action advocates for safe cycling infrastructure and supports all riders through safety and maintenance events.

Volunteer Needs: event coordination; ride leads and sweeps; promotion & social media; event attendance (talking to the public/promoting our rides and events)

Time Commitment: 2hrs a month to 10 hrs a month, depending on role and availability – attend monthly team meetings and monthly group events between May and October

Campbellford Community Resource Centre (CCRC)

Volunteers can submit ideas for classes and activities they feel might benefit the community or if they have heard specific ideas people are interested in. The CCRC will work with volunteers to suggest dates that may work well, or is open to trying something new.

Location: Classes and activities are offered at their 2 locations: 27 Doxsee Ave. N. or 65 Bridge St. E. in Campbellford

Time Commitment: 1-2+ hour classes and activities work best. Volunteers can host weekly classes or even a one-time class. Again, the CCRC  works with the volunteers and ideas that are brought forward to see what works best.

Community Care Northumberland

Meals on Wheel Delivery driver – 4 volunteers needed – deliver meals to clients at least twice a month

Friendly Visitor Volunteers – 3 volunteers needed – visit with clients for about an hour a week

Volunteer Drivers – 3 volunteers needed – out of town drivers

Community Hospice Volunteers – 3 volunteers needed – spend time in client home with the client 2-4 hours once a week or bi-weekly

Community Hospice Vigil supports – 2 volunteers needed – Visit LTC homes when family is not able to be present

Rotary Club of Campbellford

New Members Needed: Our Service organization is always looking for new members (entitled to vote and being a member of Rotary International) or for more “Friends of Rotary” who help out from time to time at one of our events. We are a diverse group of dedicated volunteers that love to give back to our wonderful community. We are also fortunate to have our own Rotary Hall that is used by so many local groups at no charge. Our Club meet 2-3 times per month (2nd Tuesday morning @ 6:50am; 4th and 5th Tuesday lunch @ 11:50am) Plus a social evening now and then where we invite our Rotarians and Friends of Rotary.

Upcoming Events and Projects

Incredible Trent Hills

Volunteer Needs: Ongoing and/or for the Incredible Edible Festival (Saturday, July 12). There are multiple events that happen throughout the year, such as The Gala (Saturday, March 1), as well as supporting our other projects like the community gardens.

Time Commitment: Varies, can be for one day for the festival (Saturday, July 12), on-going for community gardens, or one-off events during the year.

Artworth: Trent Hills Arts and Nature Camp and Adult Environmental Program

Summer camp in July 2025 for children ages 6 to 12 and teens.

Volunteer Needs: Six volunteers needed to support groups of children with art and play activities; help with set-up and clean-up of art activities; and help facilitate games and activities as required.

Time Commitment: July 7-25, 2025 – Not all weeks required. Schedule is 9 am to 4 pm but half-days can also be accommodated.

SK8 Campbellford Skateboard Competition

The 2025 skateboard competition is to be held at Kennedy Park. All ages fun sporting activities for youth. 

Volunteer Needs: Two fit persons to help hang signage, sweep concrete, set out recycling bins, move picnic tables, set up canopy tents in the morning. One or two adults to help with the registration of participants, and sale of raffle tickets,  from 11 am to 4 pm, plus one hour of clean up.

Time Commitment: July 19 – 1 day only from 9 am to 5 pm
