Alzheimer Society In-Home Recreational Volunteer
In-Home Recreational volunteers will visit with clients once per week for 1-2 hours to provide meaningful activities. The volunteer will engage the client in a meaningful activity during their visit, such as: conversation, walking, reading, playing cards, or some other mutually agreed activity that is important to the client. In addition to providing companionship to our client, this program will also provide relief for the caregiver. Training: General Orientation & Client-Facing training
This is an ongoing opportunity that is always available – start time can be when volunteer is ready and the hours are flexible.
Requirements: Access to car, Vulnerable Sector Police Check, Comfortable community to opportunity location, Minimum 16 years old

14th Annual Warkworth Lilac Festival
Volunteer individually or with your friends and family – the more, the merrier! Students in grade 8 and up can earn up to 15 volunteer hours for the 2-day event. From the greeter’s tent to the parking lot, greeting guests, helping set up tents, helping to direct traffic and help with the parking, and lots more, there’s a role for everyone!

- June 4th 6:00 pm Rocky Horror Picture Show – Aron Theatre Campbellford (at least 2 volunteers to distribute prop bags)
- June 6th 11:00 am Storytelling with Betty and Butch – Acorn Room, Inclusion Northumberland (2 volunteers to help with set up and managing attendants)
- June 6th 2:00 pm Storytelling with Betty and Butch – Warkworth Library (1 volunteer to help with set up and managing attendants)
- June 6:th 6:00 pm Pride in the park: Warkworth Magic – Warkworth Mill Creek Park (4 volunteers to help with set up and security)

Westben
The Westben 2026 Summer Festival has various volunteer positions available! Volunteers can assist with Ushering, Ticket Taking, Parking, Catering Team, and more. We are especially looking for more Bar volunteers who have their Smart Serve Certification.
Volunteer Needs: All throughout the summer, starting June 12th through August 2nd – usually a four hour shift.

Ah! Arts & Heritage Centre, Warkworth
We are always looking for volunteers! Spend time in a creative space, meet artists and visitors, and be part of Warkworth’s vibrant arts community. Shifts are just 2 hours, and training is provided. The Ah! Centre is a volunteer-run, member and community supported organization — volunteers help keep the doors open!

Incredible Edibles School Nutrition Program
Volunteers to help with the School Nutrition Program assisting students in the kitchen, supporting the guest chef, and helping to keep the class on track. Familiarity in the kitchen is an asset. Looking for support with classes at Hastings Public School, Hillcrest, Kent, and/or St. Mary’s. Help is needed Tuesdays and Wednesdays, for morning and/or afternoon shifts, throughout the school year. A police check will be required.
